What is a stock alerts?
A stock alert is a timestamped notification that available data satisfied a configured condition. It should identify the symbol, event, measured trigger, market time, and delivery or data state needed to interpret recency.
Who it is for
Built for active traders who verify the evidence.
TraderBase alerts are for active traders monitoring defined market conditions who want to move from a notification into the underlying scanner, chart, and source context.
How it works
From changing data to a focused review.
- 1Choose an implemented scanner event or combine one event with supported metric filters.
- 2Set cooldown, repeat, display-timezone, browser notification, sound, and ticker-speech preferences.
- 3Receive a timestamped event when the authoritative engine reports a qualifying state change.
- 4Open the ticker and verify current price, connection health, liquidity, chart, and catalyst evidence.
Capabilities
The information connected to this workflow.
Measured triggers
Preserve the event label and values that caused the alert rather than showing only a symbol.
Cooldown and rearm
Reduce repeated noise while allowing materially new or requalified events to appear.
Delivery preferences
Configure supported in-app, browser, sound, and speech behavior within plan and browser limits.
Recency states
Make delayed, stale, reconnecting, offline, and unavailable data visible instead of applying an unconditional live label.
TraderBase approach
What makes TraderBase different?
TraderBase alerts preserve event evidence and connect it to the rest of the workspace. Delivery can still be delayed, duplicated, incomplete, or unavailable, and an alert never becomes an instruction to trade.
Common questions
Stock alerts FAQ
How do TraderBase stock alerts work?
The market engine evaluates implemented conditions. When a qualifying event occurs, TraderBase publishes a timestamped alert subject to scanner settings, account access, provider state, and delivery availability.
Why might the same ticker alert again?
It may trigger another event, cross a new threshold, or requalify after the condition rearms. Cooldowns and deduplication reduce repeated noise but should not erase materially new evidence.
Are browser alerts guaranteed?
No. Browser permissions, device state, provider connections, network conditions, account limits, and service availability can affect delivery.
